My New Obsession

If anyone has $1,500 laying around that they don't need I wouldn't mind this necklace from Tiffany's

This Woman Amazes Me

This woman in the middle of Brett and I absolutely amazes me. This is Shannon Adams, and I am lucky enough to be related to her (even if it is only by marriage she never makes me feel that way). She always has a way to see things clearly and has a realistic outlook on life. In her mid thrities when most people get into the comforts of life and live the same "groundhog" day over and over she refuses to. She decided to go back and get her education, which she has put above all else and I truly respect her for that. She has never lost focus and now that she is closing in on her last 18 months I couldn't be more happier for HER! Even in these tough economic times she has kept a brave face as she took the news of changes at her work with pay and responsibility, and now after being working over a decade with the same company she has decided to leave and go take an internship because it's in the field that her degree will be in. It takes a strong woman to go through everything that she has endured over the last two years, and if she would just move back to Utah I would let her raise my children without question. She keeps me sane when I want to go postal, and will listen to me vent without telling me how to feel. She's the best friend that my husband needs...and it just happens to be his older sister. Her only fault is that she is directly responsible for Brett's musical taste, which I must say I'd rather watch Gili over and over before listening to half the stuff Brett calls "music". To sum it all up "love you Shannon" and I am so proud of you and I know that things will always work out in your favor!

P.S. there is always a basement that is waiting for you...just say when!

I love LA...too

So I will spare sharing the same pictures that Ryann posting on her blog but I will agree it's probably one of the best trips I have ever been on in my life. Kaela and Cory were such great hosts to us, and I forgot what great friends I really do have. From the moment we hit the Salt Lake Airport it was pure laughter and stayed that way until we left the hotel on Sunday night. Shopping was great, the games were great, food great, drinks great, and the memories I will have forever I am so thankful for. RYANN NERVOUS FOR HER FIRST GAME!

Give em hell Joe!
Wade taking the mound
Manny doing his thing
Pete and Jen celebrating the fire water ( I think our love song would be Ebony & Ivory)
For some reason I found ryann's yelling amusing
This gentleman..not so amusing...he talked thee entire game and we all wanted to choke him
Jenn ready to lose it on talky talker
Pete at the ocean

I LOVE MY GIRLS!

The Verdict is in............

The truck is totalled (per American Family Insurance). For those of you that don't know while I was in LA for the weekend Brett decided to go camping. I guess it had rained pretty hard in Utah that Saturday night so when they left on Sunday part of the road had washed away. In Brett's best judgement he tried to drive on the side of the mtn since there was no road. A rock was hiding under the bush brett decided to drive over and that rock was big enough to push the truck over on it's side. Here are some of the pics
Thankfully everyone was fine. And thankfully the insurance company and gap insurance that we purchased (yes, we were actually adults about something) will cover all the charges. We have mixed emotions about this event in our life. Ever since Brett has left the construction industry we haven't had much of a use for a truck but at the same time it's been nice to have a third car. So all in all we will now save about $350 dollars a month, which is nice, but sad too see such a good tuck go.
